          Domestic Collaboration
              The school has established a close relationship with research institutes in both China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. Through cooperation with these institutes, the school has established the first Astronautics major in China, set up Internship Base for students, and invited several specialists as visiting professors, including the chief designer of Chinese Lunar Orbitting Detection Project Sun Jiadong, and the chief designer of Chinese Manned Spaceflight Project Wang Yongzhi.

              Additionally, our school’s close collaboration with PLA General Armament Department and the Second Artillery Force has greatly contributed to the construction of national defense.

          International Exchange
          The school actively undertakes international exchange through communicating and cooperating with related departments in more than 20 universities worldwide. The school has also invited 5 long- term overseas visiting specialists, and 17 overseas honorary specialists to share knowledge with students. In the past 3 years, the school has held about 10 international academic conferences, and has invited nearly 100 foreign specialists to give lectures. Additionally, nearly 100 HIT teachers have attended overseas international academic conferences, and more than 40 excellent young teachers have taken further studies at universities around the globe.

          Domestic Collaboration

          The Deep Space Detection Research Center has held COSPAR Capacity Building Workshop 2009-Lunar and Planetary Surface Science.
          The Space Control and Inertial Technology Research Center has held the 1 st International Symposium on System and Control of Aeronautics and Astronautics (ISSCAA2007).
          The 2007 Conference on Smart Material and Nano Technology was held in HIT, which was hosted by the Center for Composite Materials and Structures and co-sponsored by International Society For Optical Engineering(SPIE), and USA National Science Foundation(NSF).
          Academician Du Shanyi, the only Chinese member of International Composite Material Committee
          Professor He Xiaodong was invited to deliver a plenary presentation in SAMPE Asia

          National 111 Program
          Our school has developed "Astronautics Technology Science Innovation Base", part of the "National 111 Program", to introduce 1000 international academic talents from the world top 100 universities and research institutes to establish 100 first-class global innovation bases

          Cooperation with Russia and Ukaine
          The School of Astronautics has fully taken advantage of the traditional collaboration relationship and geographical convenience with Russia, and has cooperated with first-class research institutes at Moscow University and Bauman Moscow State Technical University to keep a close pace with global science and technology trends. Nowadays, graduates from the Teachers’ Training Class for Spacecraft held by Samara State Aerospace University have become the industry leaders in national spacecraft design. Teaching experiment equipments, such as the returning capsule introduced from Russia, are playing a significant role in constructing the major of manned spaceflight.
